In light of the current situation in Iran and more broadly in the Middle East, Asia My Way is providing travel information to its travellers, as regional tensions may lead to international flight cancellations or disruptions in the coming days.

As the organiser of travel arrangements at destination, Asia My Way is currently conducting a comprehensive review of all ongoing travel files in order to identify any potentially sensitive situations and anticipate the necessary measures.

At this stage:

  • Destinations operated by Asia My Way in Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region are not affected.
  • Ground services included in our programmes are operating as normal.
  • A limited number of travellers are currently experiencing flight disruptions, and our teams are providing direct assistance where necessary.
  • Our teams are monitoring developments in real time.

Monitoring measures

An emergency contact number will be activated tomorrow at 2:00 PM (Thailand time).

This number will be communicated directly to the travellers concerned by email and through their usual contact within the agency.

All our destination managers remain fully mobilised to assess each individual situation and provide the necessary assistance within the scope of our responsibilities.

Recommendations to our travellers

In this context, we encourage travellers departing or returning within the next few days to:

  • regularly check the status of their flight with their airline;
  • contact their carrier or booking platform directly in the event of any modification or cancellation;
  • keep all supporting documents in case of additional costs related to air travel disruptions.

As international outbound and return flights are booked directly by travellers, their management falls exclusively under the responsibility of the airlines.

In the event of a travel disruption at destination

Should a traveller be temporarily prevented from returning to their home country due to exceptional circumstances affecting air transport, Asia My Way will apply the framework set out in European Directive (EU) 2015/2302 on package travel — a legal framework with which the agency has chosen to comply.

Under this framework:

  • the agency will cover up to three nights of accommodation;
  • beyond this, responsibility lies with the airline or with the guarantees provided under the traveller’s travel insurance policy.

We reiterate that decisions regarding flights booked directly by travellers fall exclusively under the responsibility of the airlines. Nevertheless, Asia My Way remains attentive to developments and may, where appropriate, assist travellers in identifying alternatives and adjusting their programme at destination.

Our teams remain fully available through their usual contact channels to provide any necessary assistance.
